How to Use the Registry:

For Patients/Caregivers

You will need to create an account in order to create a wishlist. Choose “Sign Up” in the upper right corner; fill in your email address & password. You will then receive a confirmation email. Once you reply to your confirmation email, you will need to create a profile and then set up a wishlist.

-It would be good if someone else, such as your primary caregiver, has your login information as well. This way he or she can add items or services that will benefit both of you, which would be of help to both of you, and can help to update the list.

After you have created and confirmed your account, You will need to create a bio. Sign in and choose “My Account and you will be prompted to create a patient profile. Only your first name & last initial and whatever image you would like to use (you do not have to use a picture) will appear on the web page.

-If you ONLY want your friends and family to view the wishlist, then check the box that says “make my wishlist private.”

-If you would like the Elixir Fund community to help fulfill your wishlist, then you can make it public by NOT checking the box that says “make my wishlist private.”

You can also create separate bios- the one that your friends and family will see in which you may wish to include more details, and the one that the public will see (you may want to include fewer details). You can share whatever information, as much or as little, as you would like in either bio. You may edit your profile at any time by signing in, choosing “My Account” and then choosing “Edit Patient.”

After you have created your bio, you may begin creating a wishlist by clicking “Find Gifts” at the top. You can scroll through the gifts or use the search bar on the right to find businesses in your local area. Simply click “Add to my wishlist” to add them to your list. Once you have added an item to your list, you can ask for multiples of a particular gift by adjusting the quantity.You can also customize your list with items such as "rides to treatment," "carpool for my children," or any items that you do not see on the list, by choosing “Add A New Custom Item” in the upper right corner of your wishlist.etc. Custom items are only viewable by invited friends and family and are not viewable on your public wishlist. Your friends who "purchase" these items will send you a message to arrange to fulfill the request.

When you are ready to share your wishlist list with friends and family, click “My Account” and choose “Send Invitation” to create a customized email. Your friends and family will receive an email with a link. Once they click that link and create an account they will be able to see your private wishlist, including your custom items. If Friends and Family have not been invited to view your wishlist, then they can only see the public portion of your list.

For Friends & Family

You will not be able to purchase an item until you create an account and confirm your account through the link that will be sent to you in an email

If a wishlist is private, you will only be able to access it and purchase items if you receive an invitation email from the registrant.

When a purchase is made, the recipient will receive a gift certificate via email that they can redeem with the participating business. The gift certificate does not identify who made the purchase so your gift will be anonymous.

If you “purchase” a customized item from a private wishlist, you must contact the owner of the wishlist to arrange to fulfill those items.
